Disciple

The circuit are running a Disciple three course entitled "Remember Who You Are" for 32 weeks starting 18th September at Christ Church. The group have already selected Palace Avenue Methodist Church in Paignton as Payer Partners.

Disciple One

Disciple one is a 34 week course called "Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study". For 17 weeks it studys the Old Testament and then 17 weeks on the New Testament. It entails 30 - 45 minutes Bible reading and Study each evening for six evenings and on the seventh evening meeting together to share and to go deeper into that week's study.

Disciple Two

Disciple two is called "Into the Word, Into the World", and is 32 weeks long. This course studies Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts, in much greater depth than Disciple one - but it necessitates looking at many other passages as they are referred to in the ones being studied. Students learn that nothing in the Bible can be taken on its own, but that throughout the whole book a thread runs through which connects it all together. Then they learn to take what they learn out into the World.

Disciple Three

Disciple three is called "Remember who you are". Again it is 32 weeks duration. To study Disciple three you must have completed Disciple one, but not necessarily Disciple two. This study involves a lot of Maps, and historical information to set everything into context. Beautiful boards are supplied to help with this, which makes the studies very informative.

Our Group

Our Group is starting on 11th September with an orientation meeting at which the study manuals will be distributed to each participant. As of early July we have 16 students registered. The study starts properly on Monday 18th September from 7:30pm to 10:00pm in the Stenner Lounge at Christ Church, Woodley. It is a Reading and Silchester Circuit event and some students are even coming from outside the Circuit.

Prayer Partners

The group have already selected as prayer partners Palace Avenue Methodist Church in Paignton, Devon. Their Disciple Three Group started in June and runs through to next Easter.
